2027 Disney World Sewing Retreat with Ian and Leo Ransom!

Join Off Kilter Crafter Ian on a magical adventure in Orlando!

Join us March 9 through March 13, 2027, for a Disney World sewing retreat that blends creativity, community, and a little theme park magic. Hosted by Off Kilter Crafter Ian and Leo Ransom of Lion’s Den Quilting, this retreat welcomes quilters of all skill levels for dedicated sewing time, inspiration, and connection with fellow makers. We will spend our days split between focused sewing sessions and planned adventures to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, giving you the best of both worlds. The group will be staying near Disney Springs, keeping everything close and convenient. One theme park ticket of your choice is included for the retreat. Additional theme park tickets are optional and available as an add on, so you can choose how much Disney you want to sprinkle into your retreat experience. It is part quilting getaway, part creative recharge, and fully designed to be fun.

Exclusive Quilting Workshops & Activities

Ian and Leo will be teaching a special projects, giving you the opportunity to sew, learn new techniques, and enjoy creative time. You will also have the opportunity to visit both Magic Kingdom and Epcot with Ian and Leo after working hard in the classroom.

How to Join

If you book the cruise separately, you will not have access to the retreat activities, including the quilting workshops and special events.

  • Yes! Submit your registration form and indicate that you'd like a roommate. Additionally, we have a Facebook group where you can connect with other attendees to find a compatible roommate.

Quilting Retreat Details FAQs

  • No need to worry about bringing your own sewing machine! Sewing machines will be provided for all retreat participants. You’ll have access to high-quality machines during the quilting classes, so you can focus on learning and creating without the hassle of transporting your own machine. The sewing room will be available 24 hours a day and we won’t be able to lock up personal machines. You might want to leave your personal machine at home.

  • For the quilting classes, you’ll only need to bring your fabric, basic quilting tools (like scissors, thread, etc.), and any project ideas or questions you’d like to work on. The sewing machines, cutting mats, and irons will be provided. You’ll get more details on what materials to bring as the retreat approaches.

  • We are working behind the scenes to design, plan, and test out our official projects. Project - and all the details - will be released approximately 120 days before the cruise. Don’t worry about your skill level - between Leo and I we’ll make sure you’re able to follow along!

  • Item descriptionThe retreat is designed for quilters of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Our instructors will provide personalized guidance and tips tailored to your experience level.

  • No, participation in the retreat activities requires booking through the specified link with RGE Travel. Booking the retreat separately with Hilton will not allow you to register for, or take part in, any additional activities planned by RGE - including the sewing retreat.

  • Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own fabric and quilting supplies if you’d like. If you have a specific project you’re working on, feel free to bring those items along.

  • You can secure your spot for the retreat by booking through RGE Travel. After booking, you’ll receive details about additional options for the quilt retreat classes and park tickets.

    Bookings for these add-ons will open approximately 120 days before the retreat. and will be available only to those booked on the cruise through RGE Travel.
